Support Provided by CLAX During the Design Phases

CLAX supports clients, designers, and general contractors from the earliest concept and preliminary design stages, acting as a specialist sub-consultant to verify technical feasibility, optimize structural solutions, and ensure proper integration with all related disciplines.

Our design methodology is developed in full compliance with the most relevant international standards and best practices applicable to acrylic pressure structures, including, but not limited to, ASME PVHO-1, as well as internationally recognized engineering principles governing safety, serviceability, and long-term performance.

In addition to regulatory compliance, CLAX carefully evaluates the specific installation environment, the different load cases and load combinations, and the potential effects of extreme meteorological and environmental conditions. With decades of experience and direct involvement in some of the most technically demanding projects worldwide, CLAX has built extensive expertise and carried out long-term studies on the actual structural and mechanical behavior of cast acrylic (PMMA) under extreme conditions.

This includes applications for underwater environments and swimming pools, where complex loads, long-term deformations, and harsh exposure conditions must be rigorously assessed. This depth of knowledge enables CLAX to transform complex and ambitious design concepts into robust, optimized, and fully engineered solutions.

Engineering flow

The CLAX engineering flow is a fully integrated and controlled process covering the entire lifecycle of the structure. It starts with an in-depth environmental study of the final destination, followed by advanced FEA calculations and detailed panel definition.
Dedicated engineering is then developed for packing and lifting structures, as well as for handling, transport, and logistics, ensuring full integrity of the acrylic elements throughout all project phases. The process continues with on-site installation and is completed with hydrostatic testing.
Each step is strictly verified through CLAX internal QA/QC procedures, and at least two critical stages—one at calculation level and one at final execution—are subject to independent international third-party certification.
